Il mercato eCommerce B2C (Business to Consumer) comprende la vendita di beni fisici mediante un “canale digitale” ad un utente finale privato.
L’analisi che oggi voglio condividere con voi si basa sul “Digital Market Outlook” uno studio pubblicato su un’autorevole portale di statistica americano (http://www.statista.com/) che ci permette nello specifico di:
- Analizzare i dati di mercato dell’economia digitale in Italia
- Analizzare i fatturati ed effettuare previsioni dello sviluppo eCommerce fino al 2010
- Analizzare e capire lo sviluppo del mercato analizzando gli indici di penetrazione e ARPU (Average Revenue Per Unit indica ricavi medi per unità)
- Suddividere i ricavi per categoria di prodotto
- Caratterizzare gli utenti per sesso e fasce di età
Lo studio raggruppa i prodotti in 5 categorie, per la verità molto estese:
- Abbigliamento e Calzature
- Elettronica di consumo e supporti fisici
- Prodotti alimentari, cosmetica e farmaceutica
- Mobili ed Elettrodomestici
- Interessi specifici (Giocattoli & babyware, prodotti per lo Sport, outdoor hobby e giardinaggio ecc).
La prima infografica che vediamo è quella relativa ai ricavi del mercato eCommerce suddiviso per le categorie che abbiamo appena visto e una previsione di crescita delle stesse da quì al 2020.
Lo studio presenta i totali in $ nello specifico in milioni di dollari.
In sintesi:
- Il ricavo è di 11,379 miliardi di dollari nel 2015
- Viene previsto un tasso di crescita annuale (2015-2020) del 9,36% con un conseguente volume di mercato 17,796 miliardi di dollari nel 2020
- Il settore con maggior ricavi è Abbigliamento e Calzature con 3,181 miliardi di dollari
Confrontiamo i valori di ricavo con il resto del mondo.
Proseguiamo con lo studio concentrandoci sull’acquirente.
La prossima immagine ci mostra il numero di acquirenti in Italia che quest’anno si attesta poco sotto i 18 milioni di utenti, per raggiungere i 20,5 milioni nel 2020.
Il conseguente Tasso di penetrazione indica la percentuale della popolazione Italiana attiva e paganti (persone con più di 16 anni) del mercato selezionato (segmento, regione) per ogni anno.
Anche in questo caso incrociamo i dati con il resto del mondo.
Quì il dato è evidente, il tasso di penetrazione Italiano è la metà rispetto ai Top Countries, (Regno Unito, Giappone, Germania, Norvegia, Danimarca).
Suddividiamo ora per fasce di età gli acquirenti:
La fascia più ampia è quella relativa ai 25 – 34 anni con 5 milioni di utenti, seguita dai 4,9 milioni della fascia 35-44 che sommati rappresentano il 56 % degli acquirenti Italiani.
L’ultima infografica è relativa alla ripartizione per età e sesso.
Concludiamo l’analisi incrociando i dati dei ricavi e gli utenti mediante l’indice ARPU.
L’acronimo ARPU sta per “Average Revenue Per Unit” (ricavi medi per unità).
Viene usato generalmente per indicare i ricavi medi ottenuti nel nostro caso annualmente per ciascun utente.
Il ricavo medio per utente ammonta a 644,28 $ nel 2015, decisamente inferiore rispetto alla media Europea che si attesta a 903,66 $, un pò meglio ma sempre inferiore al tasso mondiale che è di 740,11 €
Mi piacerebbe aprire un confronto per analizzare insieme questi dati, qual’è il dato che più ti ha colpito?
Personalmente quello relativo al tasso di penetrazione, ovviamente me lo aspettavo basso, ma vedere che comunque tra 5 anni saremo comunque “solo” al 40% mi fa riflettere…
