Prosegue la crescita dell’eCommerce in Italia: il valore degli acquisti online degli italiani raggiunge nel 2015 i 16,6 miliardi di euro con un incremento in valore del 16% rispetto al 2014 pari a oltre 2,2 miliardi di euro.
“Contribuiscono a questa crescita i settori che hanno trainato l’eCommerce fino ad oggi, come il Turismo (+14%), l’Informatica ed elettronica (+21%) e l’Abbigliamento (+19%), ma anche l’Editoria (+31%) e, finalmente, i settori emergenti come il Food&Grocery, l’Arredamento e Home living e il Beauty” afferma Alessandro Perego, Direttore Scientifico degli Osservatori Digital Innovation del Politecnico di Milano. “La penetrazione dell’eCommerce raggiunge il 4% delle vendite retail, ma siamo ancora lontani dai principali mercati occidentali (Francia, Germania, UK e USA) dove l’eCommerce ha raggiunto livelli di diffusione fino a quattro volte più elevati. La strada per trasformare il commercio elettronico in una reale consuetudine di acquisto è tracciata dai principali player: occorre migliorare le prestazioni dei cosiddetti basics, ossia gamma, prezzo e servizio.”
Il mercato
La crescita dell’eCommerce è trainata, nel Turismo, dall’acquisto di biglietti per i trasporti e dalla prenotazione di camere di albergo. Nell’Informatica ed elettronica, l’apporto arriva dagli acquisti di tv, telefonia, tablet e pc, ma anche di elettrodomestici bianchi. Nell’Abbigliamento continuano a essere determinanti gli acquisti high fashion. Nell’Editoria, la crescita è trainata dai libri, anche da quelli scolastici.
Nell’ambito dei servizi, il Turismo, con 7.762 milioni di euro, arriva a valere il 47% del mercato eCommerce B2c italiano, le Assicurazioni, con 1.235 milioni di euro, il 7,5%, e gli altri servizi (Ticketing per eventi, Ricariche telefoniche, ecc.), con 893 milioni di euro, il 5,5%. Tra i comparti di prodotto spiccano invece l’Informatica ed elettronica, che, con 2.212 milioni, vale il 13% del mercato e l’Abbigliamento che, con 1.512 milioni di euro, pesa per il 9%. Troviamo poi l’Editoria (4% del mercato, pari a 593 milioni di euro), il Food&Grocery (2% del mercato, pari a 377 milioni di euro), l’Arredamento e home living (2% del mercato, pari a 370 milioni di euro) e il Beauty (1% del mercato, pari a 190 milioni di euro). Le altre categorie di prodotto e il c2c (consumer to consumer) pesano per il 9%.
“Il mercato eCommerce B2c resta ancora sbilanciato sui servizi che valgono il 60% dell’acquistato online da consumatori italiani. Tuttavia l’acquisto online di prodotti cresce a un tasso più elevato (+21%) rispetto all’acquisto di servizi (+12%) e così il paniere italiano si sta conformando a quello rilevato nei principali mercati occidentali,” afferma Riccardo Mangiaracina, Direttore dell’Osservatorio eCommerce B2c Netcomm – Politecnico di Milano.
“Nel 2015 è importante anche l’apporto di Food&Grocery, Arredamento e Home living e Beauty che insieme contribuiscono alla crescita complessiva per quasi 200 milioni di euro. Gli acquirenti italiani acquistano online anche quelle categorie merceologiche, come alimentari o oggetti d’arredamento, fino a qualche tempo fa quasi assenti sul web. L’acquisto di cibi e bevande (vino compreso) rappresenta oggi il 3% circa delle vendite da siti italiani ed è uno dei settori più dinamici nel panorama dell’eCommerce B2c italiano“.
Mobile Commerce ed evoluzione del consumatore online
Gli acquirenti che effettuano almeno un acquisto online nell’arco di tre mesi rappresentano più del 36% della popolazione internet italiana, con 11,1 milioni di consumatori abituali (ossia che effettuano online almeno un acquisto al mese). Lo scontrino medio è di 89 euro, con una ripartizione quasi equivalente tra prodotti e servizi.
Nell’esperienza d’acquisto del consumatore, i dispositivi Mobile giocano un ruolo sempre più rilevante: gli acquisti online tramite Smartphone aumentano del 64%, superano il valore di 1,7 miliardi di € valgono il 10% dell’eCommerce nel 2015, il 21% se aggiungiamo quelli via Tablet.
“Il consumatore online si sta evolvendo in un acquirente multicanale e multidevice, che non concepisce la sua customer experience come un insieme strutturato di canali e strumenti ma è alla ricerca di un unicum nel quale trovare coerenza e continuità durante la sua interazione con l’azienda,” afferma Roberto Liscia, Presidente Netcomm. “Secondo i dati del Net Retail, 8,5 milioni di individui lo scorso anno hanno cercato informazioni online mentre osservavano un prodotto in un negozio (cosiddetto fenomeno dell’info-commerce). Al tempo stesso si osserva anche la dinamica opposta, il fenomeno dello showrooming: 13,6 milioni di consumatori cercano oggi in un negozio un prodotto già visto online nel mese precedente. Questi dati mostrano molto chiaramente come il consumatore utilizzi canali online e offline non in maniera alternativa o cannibalizzando l’uno con l’altro, ma semplicemente ricercando in ognuno di essi la soddisfazione del bisogno che in quel momento lo spinge ad interagirvi.”
L’opportunità colta dalle imprese tradizionali
Sempre più imprese tradizionali, sia commerciali che produttrici, stanno cogliendo l’opportunità di avviare una strategia multicanale per consentire ai propri clienti di proseguire l’esperienza d’acquisto online.
Anche nel 2015 diverse imprese tradizionali hanno, infatti, attivato un sito di eCommerce. Molte le ritroviamo nell’Abbigliamento e negli accessori, comparto in cui la sensibilità nei confronti dell’eCommerce è ormai particolarmente elevata. Altre appartengono al Fai da Te, all’Informatica ed elettronica, al Food&Grocery e all’Arredamento e Home design.
Al tempo stesso, molti retailer o produttori tradizionali vanno online attraverso i marketplace (Amazon, eBay ma anche ePrice) per affiancare un ulteriore canale al sito di eCommerce.
I marketplace inoltre sono utilizzati da chi vuole approcciare il canale online senza velleità di leadership e/o dai piccoli operatori che non hanno i mezzi per investire adeguatamente nello sviluppo di un sito proprio. Un altro vantaggio degli aggregatori è che favoriscono il cross-border eCommerce. Ad esempio per una PMI italiana che vuole vendere in USA è ragionevolmente semplice utilizzare eBay o il marketplace di Amazon piuttosto che attivarsi con un’iniziativa sviluppata in casa.
Bene anche l’Export
L’Export, inteso come il valore delle vendite da siti italiani a clienti stranieri, aumenta del 22% e supera quota 3 miliardi di euro. Il 46% di questo valore è imputabile al Turismo, grazie prevalentemente agli operatori del trasporto e ai portali di hotel, e per il 35% all’Abbigliamento grazie ai retailer con spiccata vocazione internazionale e ai produttori. Con un peso ancora marginale, ma in prospettiva sempre più rilevante, troviamo l’Arredamento e Home living e il Food&Grocery grazie al contributo sia di iniziative specifiche che dei marketplace.
